A member of the Union of Writers of the USSR since 1973, he was recognized as a worthy cultural worker in Yakutia and received the Great Literary Prize of Russia in 2005 posthumously. His literary works include numerous poetry and prose collections, along with translations from Yakut to Russian. He contributed significantly to the literature in Yakutia throughout his lifetime.
