Wang Xin was a Chinese Buddhist scholar and layman, born on July 8, 1922, in Nantong, Jiangsu. He served as the deputy dean of the Chinese Buddhist Academy and the deputy director of the Chinese Buddhist Culture Research Institute. He contributed to the study and promotion of Buddhism in China until his passing on February 14, 2020.
