Quincy Byrum Hurst (1918-2006) was an American lawyer, judge, banker, and politician from Arkansas. He notably served 22 years in the Arkansas Senate, including as its President, and sought the governorship in 1972. A Democrat, Hurst advocated for gambling legalization in Hot Springs and served in the Army during WWII. His career faced controversy when he was convicted of bank fund misuse in 1974. He was the father of Q. Byrum Hurst Jr., also a lawyer and politician, and passed away in Hot Springs.
