Pyotr Fyodorovich Brovko is a Soviet and Russian geographer and public figure, born on June 26, 1949, in Ivan'kovo, Chernihiv Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. He has been a professor at Far Eastern Federal University since 2011 and served as the chairman of the Society for the Study of the Amur Region from 2005 to 2015. He was the head of the Department of Geography of Asia-Pacific Countries at Far Eastern State University from 1992 to 2011. In 2023, he was honored as an esteemed geographer of the Russian Federation. He holds a Doctorate degree in geography.
