Püstəxanım Əzizbəyova was a Soviet historian, scientist, and academician who obtained her Doctor of Historical Sciences degree in 1961. She served as a film consultant and was the former director of the Azerbaijan National Museum of History. A notable figure in education, she was the granddaughter of the engineer and professional leftist revolutionary Məşədi Əzizbəyov, and she authored several works about her grandfather.
