Purwanti Parji is an Indonesian woman who, at the age of 17, murdered her employer's mother-in-law in Singapore in 2003. She strangled 57-year-old Har Chit Heang following allegations of mistreatment. In an attempt to conceal the crime, she initially forged the death as a suicide. Charged with murder, Purwanti later pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to life imprisonment by the High Court due to the severity of her actions.
