Warnakulasuriya Philip Antony Protus Tissera was a prominent Ceylonese politician born on September 11, 1925. He served in local governance as a member of the Kammalpattu Village Committee. Tissera contested in several parliamentary elections, representing the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, including the 6th parliamentary elections in 1965 and later securing a victory in the 7th elections in 1970. His political journey was marked by close contests against notable opponents. He passed away on October 14, 2007.
