Prokop Brázda was a member of the Czechoslovak resistance during World War II, serving as a pilot in the 313th Czechoslovak fighter squadron of the RAF. He participated in 325 combat missions and contributed to the downing of a German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter. Tragically, on April 27, 1942, during a combat flight, he died when his aircraft was damaged and became uncontrollable while attempting an emergency landing. He is buried in Hornchurch, Essex.
