Preston Jones is an American historian and professor at John Brown University in Arkansas. He served in the US Navy from 1986 to 1990, which sparked his interest in the brothel industry in Southeast Asia. He obtained a Ph.D. in History from the University of Ottawa in 1999 and led the Historical Institute at JBU from 2003 to 2010. He has taught Spanish and Latin and is also known for his book discussing science and religion with punk rocker Greg Graffin, titled 'Is Belief in God Good, Bad or Irrelevant?'.
