Polly Dix Schaafsma is an American archaeologist recognized for her significant contributions to the study of Native American rock art. She serves as a research associate at the Museum of New Mexico's Laboratory of Anthropology in Santa Fe. Alongside her husband, Curtis F. Schaafsma, she has researched the prehistoric Katchina cult in the Southwest USA. Schaafsma is actively involved in education as a lecturer at various rock art field seminars and was honored with the Klaus Wellmann Memorial Award in 2008 for her work in the field.
