Plínio Brasil Milano was a Brazilian lawyer and police officer, active in Porto Alegre. Graduating from the Faculty of Law in 1932, he played a key role in reorganizing the police force in Rio Grande do Sul. He created the first counter-espionage service in Brazil, dismantling a Nazi spy network, which garnered international attention. Milano founded the Civil Police Library and a newspaper. He was designated as 'Patrono da Polícia Civil' in 1983 and has an avenue named after him in Porto Alegre.
