Pirkko Stenros, a Finnish interior architect born in 1928, is renowned for her furniture designs for the Muurame company. She graduated as an interior architect in 1951 and initially worked as a designer at Artek for three years. In 1955, she co-founded an architectural firm with her husband, Helmer Stenros, where she focused on interior design. Notable works include hotels, theaters, and restorations of medieval stone churches, and she designed numerous interior plans for the magazine Kaunis Koti. After Muurame's bankruptcy, she became its full-time designer in 1993.
