Pilar Aróstegui Santiago was a Spanish archivist born in Vitoria on February 6, 1944. She made history as the first female archivist at the Municipal Archive of the City Council of Vitoria, where she served for over three decades. Her contributions to archiving were significant, and in recognition of her work, the Municipal Archive was renamed in her honor on January 17, 2007, following her passing on January 16, 2006.
