Pierson Parker was an American scholar born on May 27, 1905. He served as a professor of New Testament at the General Theological Seminary in the 1960s. Parker made significant contributions to the study of the origins and priority of the Gospels. He is known for his critical review of Morton Smith's work on the Secret Gospel of Mark, published in The New York Times, where he expressed skepticism about the document's authenticity. He also participated in the development of the Today's English Version in 1976.
