In 1970, he received the inaugural film prize in the 'Films of the Youth' category at the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Germany. His notable roles include directing the European Syndication of etv Hollywood Inc. and producing official NASA/ESA footage for the Spacelab Mission, as well as the Special Assignment Series Soccer World Cup. Kandorfer has authored 20 books.
