Pierre-Aimé Normandeau was a respected Canadian ceramist born on November 5, 1906, in Outremont and passed away on December 3, 1965, in Montreal. He was not only an artist but also a professor who taught at the École des Beaux-Arts and the École du meuble de Montréal, training many other ceramists. Normandeau was one of the founders of modern ceramics in Quebec and had a significant influence on this art form from the 1930s to the 1960s.
