Petras Bartkus was a Lithuanian poet and anti-Soviet partisan, known for his involvement in Lithuania's resistance against Soviet occupation. Born on 30 May 1925, he became a key figure in the partisan movement and served as the first commander of the Prisikėlimas military district. Bartkus was also a signatory of the Lithuanian Partisans Declaration on 16 February 1949. His contributions reflect the struggle for Lithuanian independence during a tumultuous period in history. He passed away on 13 August 1949.
