Petr Sozontovich Vykhodtsev (June 19, 1923 – March 23, 1994) was a Russian Soviet literary scholar and critic, affiliated with the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkin House) from 1949 to 1963 and again from 1973 to 1986. He became a member of the USSR Union of Writers in 1962 and earned a Doctor of Philological Sciences degree in 1963. He was a professor and head of the Soviet Literature department at Leningrad State University from 1962 to 1972. Vykhodtsev specialized in Soviet poetry and the works of A. T. Tvardovsky.
