Peter Danstrup, born on April 23, 1954, is a Danish bassist and composer known for his work in various jazz ensembles and bands such as John Tchicai & Strange Bros. and Mikkel Nordsø Band. He released two albums under his name, with 'Untrue Beautiful Things' winning the Danish Music Award for Best Jazz Release and earning him the title of Best Jazz Composer in 2012. Danstrup served as the rector of the Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium from 1997 to 2005 and made his debut with the trio Klökkeblömst in 2013.
