Peter Cornelius Mayer-Tasch is a German legal, political, and cultural scientist born on March 13, 1938, in Stuttgart. Since 1971, he has been a professor of political science and legal theory at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and founded the research center for political ecology in 1984. He co-directed the political theory department at the Munich School of Politics from 1996 to 2012. Mayer-Tasch held various leadership roles, including chairman of the examination board from 1993 to 2020 and rector from 2002 to 2010.
