Peter Bairnsfather-Cloete (1917–1942) was a South African cricketer and army officer. He played first-class cricket for Western Province, debuting in 1936 and making nine appearances until 1940. Bairnsfather-Cloete scored 74 runs and took 29 wickets. He also owned the Alphen Hotel in Cape Town and served as a captain in WWII. Tragically, he died in a plane crash in 1942 while returning to South Africa from Cairo.
