Petar M. Đurković was a Yugoslav astronomer, born on February 20, 1908, in Trnova, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was the director of the Belgrade Observatory and is known for discovering two asteroids. One of the asteroids, (1555) Dejan, discovered on September 15, 1941, is named after his son. Đurković passed away on January 5, 1981, in Belgrade, Yugoslavia.
