Per-Yngve Monsen, born on September 27, 1964, is known as a whistleblower in the Siemens scandal. He was the anonymous source for VG in the revelations that exposed illegal activities. Although he was dismissed from his job, the court ruled his termination was unjust, leading to a compensation of 1.5 million NOK. He received the Zola Prize in 2007 and the Fritt Ord Prize in 2008 for his role in the scandal involving overbilling the Armed Forces and bribery. In 2008, he published the book 'Muldvarp i Siemens.'
