Per Pihl was a Norwegian architect, town planner, and author born on January 29, 1906, in Ålesund and died on March 31, 1981, in Drammen. He graduated as an architect from the Trondheim School of Architecture in 1929. His first job was in the Netherlands, followed by a role at Akersbanen/Østensjøbanen and then as the chief architect at Oslo's regulating agency. In 1946, he became Drammen's first town planner, a position he held until retirement in 1976. He advocated for the preservation of Drammen's tower buildings.
