Per Østvold is a Norwegian trade unionist and politician associated with the Socialist Left Party. Born on April 28, 1949, in Rygge, he began his political journey with the Norwegian Labour Party and later joined the Workers' Communist Party. Østvold worked as a laborer from 1976 before becoming a full-time trade unionist in 1981, eventually leading the Norwegian Transport Workers' Union from 1996 until 2009. He has also served as a deputy representative to the Norwegian Parliament and participated in the Socialist Left Party's central committee.
