Per-Ola Börjesson is a Swedish professor of signal processing, born on September 8, 1945, in Karlshamn. He earned his MSc in electronics in 1970 and his PhD in telecommunications in 1980 from Lund University. Börjesson was the first professor in signal processing in Sweden at Luleå University from 1988 to 1998. Since 1998, he has held a professorship at Lund University, focusing on high performance communication systems, particularly wireless and twisted pair systems, and research involving OFDM and DMT modulation.
