Per Jordhøy (born August 15, 1950, in Lesja) is a Norwegian author, advisor, essayist, and nature photographer. He has written numerous non-fiction books and over 200 reports and articles on nature and cultural history. Jordhøy worked at the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research from 1987 to 2018, focusing on alpine ecology, particularly wild reindeer and bird life. He has studied the traditional hunting culture in the mountains and contributed to a UNESCO World Heritage application regarding ancient wild reindeer hunting.
