Per Dingsøyr (1913-1999) was a journalist from Guddal, Fjaler. He graduated from Bladmannaskolen in Bergen and began his journalism career with various part-time jobs from age 16. He joined Gula Tidend in 1934 and continued there until the outbreak of World War II in 1940. In 1945, he became the editor of Sogn Folkeblad (later Sogn Dagblad in 1966), where he worked until his retirement in 1978.
