Known for his various board positions in agricultural organizations, he has been a member of the municipal economics committee since 2013, currently serving as its chair. Additionally, he was part of the culture and leisure committee from 2013 to 2017. Laursen is also a proprietor and owner of Lundgaard in Overlade, which cultivates around 300 hectares of land, including potatoes.
