Pedro Macía was a Spanish journalist known for his impactful career in radio and television. He began working at Radio Juventud in 1961 before joining Radio Nacional de España. In 1963, he became a prominent voice at Televisión Española, contributing to numerous programs throughout the 1960s. After a brief hiatus from journalism, he returned to TVE, where he directed the Telediario during Spain's Transition. Notably, he resisted reporting a false news story, leading to his transfer. He also created the program Punto de encuentro. He published a book on television and passed away from cancer.
