Pe Khin (August 27, 1912 - February 25, 2004) was a significant negotiator and architect of the historic Panglong Agreement in Burma. He successfully persuaded General Aung San to stay overnight for negotiations with ethnic minority leaders, leading to successful discussions with key figures. This culminated in the agreement that laid the groundwork for the formation of the Union of Burma, paving the way for its independence from British rule. The day is celebrated as Union Day on February 12.
