Pauta Saila (1916 or 1917–2009) was an Inuit artist known for his large, simplified soapstone sculptures of Arctic wildlife, especially his dancing bears. He hailed from Kilaparutua on Baffin Island, Canada, and later lived in Cape Dorset, Nunavut. His artistic legacy is notable within the Inuit community, with family ties to fellow artist Sharni Pootoogook. Saila's work reflects the beauty of the Arctic and contributes to the preservation of Inuit cultural heritage.
