Paulus Kapia is a Namibian politician born on 18 September 1967. He became a member of the SWAPO party and was first elected to Namibia's National Assembly in 2005. He briefly served as Deputy Minister but resigned amid a corruption scandal. Later reinstated in 2016 due to humanitarian reasons, Kapia also held a position in SWAPO's military wing during the liberation struggle. Despite being found not guilty in internal investigations, he has not held significant positions in the Assembly since and remained a backbencher in 2013.
