Appointed as auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Osaka by Pope Francis on June 2, 2018, he has served as a chaplain and educator while engaging in various pastoral activities. He has written and translated several books into Japanese on spirituality and has been involved with Seido Cultural Center and Opus Dei's educational initiatives in Japan.
