Paul Seston was a French painter born in Nantes on October 1, 1905, and died in the same city on June 23, 1985. He studied under Émile Simon and Emmanuel Fougerat at the École supérieure des beaux-arts de Nantes. Seston is known for his numerous paintings, including studies and compositions of roses inspired by his personal rose garden where he cultivated over 100 varieties. His works also include many landscapes from Brittany, Pays de Loire, and Southwestern France, as well as landscapes from Italy, still lifes, and a few portraits.
