Paul Gauduchon is a French mathematician born on March 22, 1945, known for his contributions to differential geometry. He studied at the prestigious École Polytechnique starting in 1965 and began research with CNRS in 1968. Gauduchon earned his Doctor d'État in 1975 under André Lichnerowicz and habilitated in 1986. Since 1990, he has been a research director at CNRS at the École Polytechnique's Centre de Mathématiques and has led the geometry group. He introduced the Gauduchon metric in Hermitian geometry and teaches at the Institute of Mathematics de Jussieu.
