Paul Demel was a notable actor born in Brno on May 4, 1903, during the Austro-Hungarian Empire. He is well-remembered for his cameo roles in British Ealing comedies like Hue and Cry (1947), Passport to Pimlico (1949), The Lavender Hill Mob (1951), and His Excellency (1952). Demel also appeared in the film English Without Tears (1944). His stage work included performances in the West End, notably in 'The Doctor's Dilemma' alongside Vivien Leigh in 1942 and in 'Madame Louise' in 1945. He passed away in Munich on August 31, 1951.
