Patrick Fissot is a French history professor born on May 8, 1971, known for his writings on the two World Wars. He focuses on the history of the English Channel during World War I and the Normandy battle, co-founding a museum dedicated to the D-Day landings and the Battle of the Hedgerows in Catz (the Normandy Victory Museum). He also initiates various memorial projects related to this historical period. Additionally, he teaches history and geography at the Lycée Sivard-de-Beaulieu in Carentan-les-Marais. He was awarded the National Order of Merit on December 31, 2020.
