Patrick Craig Walsh, born on February 13, 1938, in Akron, Ohio, is an American urologist and surgeon. He studied medicine at Case Western Reserve University and completed his residency at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston followed by specialization in urology at UCLA. He served in the military at a naval hospital in San Diego and contributed significantly to prostate cancer surgery by developing the radical retropubic prostatectomy (RRP) procedure to preserve nerve function. In 1974, he became a professor at the Johns Hopkins University Brady Urological Institute.
