Patrick Francis Marsden was a prominent Canadian sportscaster known for his play-by-play coverage of the Canadian Football League during the 1970s and 1980s. He also hosted the historic 1972 Canada-Soviet Union hockey Summit Series. Born in Ottawa, he began his career at CKOY and later served as sports director at CFTO. Marsden was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1989. After facing a controversial dismissal in 1986, he rebuilt his career at CFRB and TSN, contributing significantly to The Fan 590 before retiring in 2004.
