Parasto Backman, born September 17, 1977, in Linköping, is a graphic designer and lecturer in graphic design at Konstfack. She grew up in Linköping and Akalla in northern Stockholm and is a graduate of Beckmans Designhögskola. Backman has received multiple awards for her work, including Design S and Kolla!, and in 2017, she was awarded the Berling Prize. She has also designed the Guldbaggen for Best Newcomer and was elected to the boards of Konstnärsnämnden and the Stockholm Women's History Museum in 2018.
