Paco Camarasa Yáñez was a bookseller and cultural activist born in Valencia in 1950, later moving to Barcelona. He directed the Negra i Criminal bookstore from 2002 to 2015, which was Spain's first specialized in crime fiction. He also served as the curator for the BCNegra festival until 2017, promoting crime literature. An author, he published "Sangre en los estantes," a guide on crime fiction's origins. In recognition of his contributions, he received the Medal of Cultural Merit in 2017 from Barcelona's mayor, Ada Colau.
