Osnat Shiran (January 10, 1941 – December 25, 2023) was an Israeli historian, educator, and researcher specializing in the research of the War of Independence and security settlement. She authored and edited books on the history of the Hebrew defense forces and initiated numerous research publications on these topics throughout her career. Born in Ein Gev and a veteran of the IDF, she held various academic positions and contributed significantly to the study of Israeli history.
