Oskar Vahtra was an Estonian boxer born on February 16, 1906, in Tallinn. He became the Estonian champion in middleweight in 1926 and in light heavyweight in 1930. Vahtra competed in the light heavyweight category at the 3rd European Championships in 1930 in Budapest. Unfortunately, he lost his first match by technical knockout in the first round against Thyge Petersen, a notable opponent who was a silver medalist at the 1924 Paris Olympics and later became a European champion.
