Oscar de Zalameda was a Filipino painter known for his artistic contributions and recognition in the Philippines. Born in Lucban on September 24, 1930, he became a favorite artist of former First Lady Imelda Marcos. Among his accolades, he was one of the first recipients of the Quezon Medalya ng Karangalan in 1970 and received the Presidential Medal of Merit from President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in 2006. De Zalameda passed away at the age of 79 on July 10, 2010, in Lucena.
