Ole Høeg (1920-1988) was a Danish author and journalist known for his ten crime novels featuring Commissioner Amadeo Bergamasco from the Roman police. He lived in Italy from 1960 to 1980. His early works were particularly well-received and awarded, including the Poeklubbens prize for his books set in Rome. Høeg served as chief travel editor in Rome for many years, also writing several books about Italy, including 'Turen går til Rom'.
