Ola Palmaer (1932-2011) was a Swedish author, translator, and librarian, born in Stockholm. He was the son of editor and politician Gustav Johansson and Eva Palmaer-Johansson. Palmaer was a licentiate of philosophy, translating notable Russian works, including those by Vladimir Vysotsky and Vladimir Mayakovsky. He was involved in the radical student organization Clarté and worked at the KTH library, translating Soviet scientific publications. Burial took place at Skogskyrkogården in Stockholm.
