Oddvar Holmedal, born on May 12, 1951, is the last Norwegian Santal missionary to India alongside his wife, Britt-Helen. They served in India for 15 years, concluding their mission in 1997. Following their departure, the Northern Evangelical Lutheran Church established an independent church leadership that continues mission work. Currently, Holmedal is affiliated with Normisjon's international department, working as the country coordinator for India.
