Odakane Jirō (March 10, 1911 - April 14, 1990) was a Japanese poet and writer from Tokyo. He graduated from Tōhoku Imperial University and became a member of the literary group 'Cogito' alongside Yoshijiro Hayata. He was close to poet Itoo Shizuo. In January 1938, he moved to Tokyo and gifted an old Maria Kannon to the ailing Michizo Tatehara. He published poetry collections and, after World War II, founded and led the literary magazine 'Kajuen' in 1956, while penning biographies and corporate novels.
