Nissim Nissimov was a Bulgarian-born Israeli composer, conductor, and arranger, born on October 4, 1909, in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and passed away on June 24, 1951, in Israel. He was one of the prominent classical composers for choral music in Israel during the 1940s and played a significant role in the development of music in the country. He founded and was the first head of the music department of the Histadrut's executive committee, contributing greatly to the Israeli music scene.
